CAMP DESCRIPTION

You don’t need a big budget to produce high quality videos for the web. All you need is some basic gear, a good idea, and a passion for production. In this virtual camp, students will better understand video production gear and will test and enhance skills by completing a daily video challenge. stroke your passion for media production by completing a daily video challenge to test and enhance your skills. The good ideas will be up to you! Campers will learn the three stages of film production while working on a video project a day including Vlogs, How-to videos, interviews, and green screen/visual effects. Students will plan, produce and edit all of their work to get ready to release their content to the world on the web.

Full Week Live Camps

  • Live Instructors

  • Week Long Camps, M–F

  • 20 hours of instruction total

  • 4 hours of learning each day

    • 10am-12pm (EST)

    • 2pm - 4pm (EST)

Camp Highlights
 

  • Implement the three stages of film production: Pre-production, Production, and Post-production

  • Plan, storyboard, and produce a different video style each day

  • Apply filmmaking principles such as rule of thirds, camera angles, and shot composition

  • Implement narrative storytelling and cinematic techniques to effectively translate their vision into a well produced video

  • Utilize professional editing techniques to improve pace, structure, and entertainment value of a video
