Storytelling is the most essential part when producing a film. Without it, audiences would not have the opportunity to connect with the story and relate to the characters. But how does one begin the process of creating a film? In this course, students will explore story design and structure, genre, audience, characterization, and dialogue as they translate their idea into a screenplay for the big screen. They will review peer screenplays, provide and receive personalized feedback, and finalize a polished piece. At the close of this course, students will be equipped to begin producing their own film screenplays at home.
