Foley sound is the art of creating everyday sound effects like footsteps, rustling clothes, and splashing water and matching it to the action on screen. In this workshop, students will discover how ordinary objects can create the sounds they hear in movies, TV shows, and video games. They will learn how sound effects are made, recorded, and synced as they experiment with footsteps, weather, creature sounds, and more. Using kid-friendly recording tools and lots of creativity, participants will work together to design and perform Foley sound effects for short video clips, bringing stories to life through sound.
