Green screen technology is exciting because it offers media creators unlimited freedom. In this workshop, students will explore the power of green screen technology using pre-written scripts designed to spark creativity and fun. Young filmmakers will learn how to act in front of a green screen, set up camera angles for visual effects, and use simple editing software to replace backgrounds with exciting digital environments. From jungle escapes to alien encounters, this workshop puts kids at the center of the action while teaching real filmmaking and editing techniques.

Learning Objectives
Set up and film scenes using a green screen, learning how to match performance and camera work to imagined environments Practice performing pre-written scripts that require interacting with imaginary elements, building confidence and spatial awareness Import and Edit footage, replacing green screen backdrops with themed environments and adding simple effects to bring scenes to life

Ethan
Ethan is a Full Sail University film graduate and educator with experience across film production, video creation, photography, gaming, and esports. His multidisciplinary background allows him to introduce students to a wide range of creative media while making technical concepts accessible and engaging. He fosters an exploratory learning environment where creators can experiment, collaborate, and find their artistic voice through practical, project-based experiences.
