About the Course
Step into the competitive world of esports and experience gaming like a pro. In this camp, students learn the core skills, strategies, and analytical tools that drive today’s top esports teams. Guided by members of Full Sail University’s Armada Esports team, students will explore high-level gameplay concepts such as role specialization, map awareness, objective control, timing, and mechanical optimization across popular competitive titles. They will breakdown gameplay using performance metrics and gain insight into how professional players make plait-second decisions and adapt under pressure. They will practice shot-calling, team coordination, pre-match planning, and post-match evaluation, all while developing the soft skills essential to competitive success—leadership, communication, and mental resilience. Students will also discuss emerging careers across the esports landscape and how to make their first steps into the esports community. By the end of camp, students will have an understanding of the technical, strategic, and collaborative elements that elevate gaming to a professional sport, equipping them to approach play with focus, purpose, and teamwork.

Ethan
Ethan is a Full Sail University film graduate and educator with experience across film production, video creation, photography, gaming, and esports. His multidisciplinary background allows him to introduce students to a wide range of creative media while making technical concepts accessible and engaging. He fosters an exploratory learning environment where creators can experiment, collaborate, and find their artistic voice through practical, project-based experiences.
