About the Course
Build, design, and bring your imagination to life in the world of Minecraft. In this artistic and hands-on camp, young creators will use Minecraft as their canvas to explore art and design principles and storytelling. Campers will dream up unique worlds and bring them to life through thoughtful structure design, creative detailing, and visual storytelling. As they build, they will experiment with core art and design concepts such as composition, contrast, symmetry, and scale to learn how each block can express mood, style, and personality. They will play with shapes, patterns, textures, color, carefully crafting the intentional overall look and feel of each build. They will also focus on game design by creating fun challenges, simple puzzles and interactive story moments inside their worlds. By the end of the week, campers will have a polished build to share during our final showcase where they will present their designs, explain their creative choices, and tell the stories behind their unique Minecraft worlds.
