About the Course
Roblox Studio is a free, all-in-one creation tool used to build games and interactive worlds for the Roblox platform. In this camp, students will explore the fundamentals of game design while bringing their ideas to life in a 3D environment. They will learn how to use Roblox Studio’s built-in tools and AI assistant to enhance their creativity, as well as experiment with simple coding concepts using LUA to modify gameplay mechanics. Through guided projects and design challenges, students will apply core game design principles while designing experiences that feel uniquely their own. By the end of camp, students will have hands-on experience creating Roblox projects that show-off their imagination and creativity.
Objectives
Navigate Roblox Studio’s interface and tools within its three-dimensional workspace
Build and Design 3D environments, models, objects, and structures with basic shapes, colors, and textures by using additional creative tools
Apply responsible and safe practices when using the Toolbox and AI Assistant
Modify and Develop simple gameplay logic using the LUA scripting language
Gather, Analyze, and Implement feedback from playtesting sessions

Bryan
Bryan is a game designer and educator with experience guiding students through professional gaming and audio tools such as Unreal Engine, GameMaker Studio, and Ableton Live. With expertise in game design, development, and sound design he introduces learners to professional workflows while keeping lessons approachable and fun. He encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and iteration as students design and refine interactive media projects.
